James V. Henry

Mr. James V. Henry, 88, of Paris died Monday, February 26, 2018, at Henry County Healthcare. Services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Progressive Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.He was born July 2, 1929, in Whitlock to the late Jurd and Lula Provine Henry.  He was married to Peggy Milton Henry, who survives.  He worked at Spinks Clay Company for 50 years and was a member of Bird’s Creek Baptist Church.  He is also survived by eight children: Crystal King, James “Russ”, William, James F. and Michael Henry, all of Paris, Joyce Henry Johnson of Detroit, Daffney Henry of Austin, Texas, Diane (Jimmy) Vanzandt of Tyler, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends; two special sons: Tim and Henry Terry; and a special cousin, Pearlie Travis.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Randall Milton; a daughter, Jacqueline Denise Henry; and a brother, Hansel Lee Henry.
