James Jackson

Mr. James Jackson, 65, of Mayfield formerly of Fulton died Monday, February 24, 2020, at Riverhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah.

Memorial Services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel in South Fulton.

He was born on April 18, 1954 in South Fulton, TN, to his parents, Ralph Foster Jackson and the late Dorothy Louise Jackson. He was the 3rd son born of five children to this union. His siblings included Ralph Jr. (Audrey), Donald (Sherie), Deborah and Daniel Jackson.

He went to Rosenwald Elementary, South Fulton Middle and High School. He started at a young age, working for the Jackson Family Business as a carpenter and lawncare service worker. He lived most of his life in Mayfield, KY where he attended service at Universal Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jackson; brothers, Ralph Jr., Donald and Daniel Jackson; nephew, Julius Jackson; and special cousin, Larry “Joe” Jackson.

James is survived by his wife, Linda Jean Oliver Jackson of Mayfield, KY; three children, Sharon (Fred) Lightner Harris of Aurora, CO, Desmond Jackson of Dyersburg, TN and AJ Jackson of Mayfield, KY; stepchildren, Kandace Oliver and Latasha both of Mayfield, KY; father, Ralph (Margaret) Jackson of Alton, IL; sister, Deborah Jackson of Fulton, KY; stepbrother, Ronnie Perry of Alton, IL; special aunt, Eula Rose; special cousins, George Rose of Nashville, TN and Shannon Stunson of South Fulton, TN; grandchildren, Alexander Harris of Aurora, CO, Malik Harris of Aurora, CO, Jordan Jackson of Dyersburg, TN and Karmella, Mariah and Dejon Jackson all of Mayfield, KY; nieces & nephews, Lorraine Lightner, Sean (Chanell) Jackson, Delonia (Timothy) Lawrence, Stacey Jackson, Donna Jackson, Danetra Hodge and Autumn Jackson; and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
