James R. "Bubba" Tharpe

Mr. James "Bubba" Tharpe, 67, of Paris died Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare -Regional Jackson.Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Robert Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.He was born on March 16, 1949, in Henry County, TN to James and Paralee (Porter) Tharpe. Early in life he worked as a farmer, an employee of Emerson Electric and Stateline Western World. He was baptized at Sparks Street Church of Christ and later he attended the Church of God in Christ. He is survived by his daughters, LaTonya (Tim) Tharpe, Royce Huthcherson, Heather Tharpe and Amber Boone; a son Carl Ray (Tammy) Williams all of Paris; a brother, Dale F. (Linda) Tharpe of South Chesterfield, VA; two sisters, Mary Milliken and Vera Tharpe both of Paris and a host of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Paralee Tharpe and a brother, James H. Tharpe. Rawls Funeral Home - Paris 731-642-1515
