Mrs. Jennie Bernice Martin, 75, of South Fulton died Friday, November 4, 2011, at her residence.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011, at The United Church of The Living God with Elder Margaret Pettigrew officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlea Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at the church.
She was born December 4, 1935, to Verna Mae and Frank H. Douglas.
She was a devoted member and Mother of The United Church of The Living God. She was employed by Ferry-Morse Seed Co.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Lon Martin. He survives.
Survivors include her children, Larncell (Ann) Martin and Greg (Melissa) Martin, both Fulton, Kentucky, Jimmy (Ida) Martin Owensboro, Kentucky, Reginald Martin, Valerie Martin and Kenyatta Willis, all of South Fulton, Tennessee and Angela Martin of Memphis, Tennessee; four brothers, Lossie (Theola) Douglas of Kankakee, Ill., and Larry (Alice) Douglas, Paul (Everlina) Douglas and Jewell (Retha) Douglas, all of Rockford, Ill.; six sisters, Rosa Ingram of Detroit, Betty Gordon, Fairrene (Allen) Kinney, Rebecca (Charles) Harris and Dorothy (Allen) White, all of Fulton, and Ruthie Douglas of Milwaukee; her aunt, Hattie B. Price of St. Louis; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Verna Mae and Frank H. Douglas a daughter, Cynthia Martin two brothers, Parker Douglas and Frank Douglas Jr.; her sister, Alice Faye Douglas.
