Jessie Mason

Mr. Jessie Mason, 52, of Dyersburg formerly of Union City and Clinton, KY died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton with Rev. Anthony Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday at the church. He was born March 20, 1959, in Clinton, Ky., son of the late Effie Mae Thomas Mason and the late Jessie Wisdom. He was married to the former Clarice Henry of Union City, who survives. He had been employed at the former Reelfoot Packing Co. in Union City and had also worked at Jimmy Dean for 22 years. Survivors also include three daughters and his son-in-law, Chenora Cawthon, Kemi Cawthon and LaShonda and Lamont Arnold, all of Union City; two sons, Jessie Jermaine Mason of Dyersburg and Devon Mason of Nashville; six sisters and his brother-in-law, Johnny Moundy, Charlene and Billy Joe Crumble, Brenda Wisdom and Lacresha Wisdom, all of Clinton, Shirley Mason of Hickman, Ky., and Marshell Hopson of Tacoma, Wash.; six brothers and two sisters-in-law, Edward and Melinda Knox of Clarksville, Kenny Mason of Danville, Ky., and Ray Charles and Janice Mason, Glenn Mason, Frankie Mason and Lynn Mason, all of Clinton; and several grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Renae Mason; and four brothers, Jackie Mason, John Mason, Sherman Blakemore and Michael Blakemore. Rawls Funeral Home - Union City 731-885-8110
