Mr. Jessie Frank Vinson, 59, of Union City died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016, in Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Jessie Frank Vinson was born December 22, 1956, in Woodland Mills, Tennessee to the late Frank James and Lula Mae Vinson. Jessie Frank grew up and attended school in Woodland Mills, Tennessee. He graduated from Obion County Central High School in Troy, Tennessee. He accepted Christ later in life and one of his favorite songs to sing was, “Lord I Know You’ve Been So Good”. He worked very hard helping his mother take care of his father and other siblings. Jessie loved his family very much. He was a very hard worker. He worked at L. W. London for many years as a construction worker. His hobbies were listening to music, singing, playing his guitar, watching western movies and spending time with his family. He was well known for his kindness, humility, his wholesome advice to others and most of all, his cowboy boots and cowboy hats. Jessie was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Miss Cheryl Mitchell, on October 28, 1977. From this union, four children were born. Preceding him in death were his mother, Lula Mae Vinson; his father, Frank James Vinson; five brothers, David T. King, Jr., Vernon King, Ronald King, George Vinson and Phillip Vinson and three sisters, Betty Jean Carr, Beverly Ann Williams and Debra McNeal. He leaves to cherish his memories his ex-wife and friend, Cheryl Vinson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two sons, Dwayne Vinson of Atlanta, Georgia and Shane Vinson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; three daughters, Jessica Patton of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Cherissa Vinson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Latrina (Neal) Burton of Minneapolis, Minnesota; four brothers, Jerry (Mamie) King of Union City, Tennessee; Bobby (Regina) Vinson of Woodland Mills, Tennessee, Jeffrey Vinson of Martin, Tennessee and Nathaniel Marcus (Monquita) King of Jacksonville, Alabama; one sister, Vera Clayborn of Hayti, Missouri; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; two aunts, Mary Francis of Youngstown, Ohio and Mattie McClerkin of Union City, Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
