Mr. James “Jimmy” Harper, 70, of Paris died Friday, February 27, 2015, at Henry County Medical Center.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born June 11, 1944, in Paris to the late Aaron Harper and Naomi Roach.
He was a member of Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
He is survived by four children: Latrisha Love and Collette (LeMont) Beasley, both of Paris, Tracie (Jimmy) Edwards of Mississippi, and Tharon Johnson of Atlanta;
A brother: Tony (Mariva) Harper of North Carolina; and a sister: Diana Ray of Paris; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several other relatives.
She was preceded in death by five siblings: Alonzo, Sandra, Marice and Bonita Banks, and Hugh Harper.
