Joe Louis Crutchfield

Mr. Joe Louis Crutchfield, 76, of Martin died Monday, August 22, 2011, at Martin Health Care. Services will be held at 1p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011, at McCabe United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Parham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10a.m. Saturday at the church. He was born March 30, 1934, in Martin he was the son of the late Lena Denton and Bruce Crutchfield. He married Bonnie Lou McDonald Crutchfield, on June 13, 1981. She survives. He was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church, United Methodist Men member, the Men’s Choir and the Board of Trustee. United States Air Force Veteran, member of Jacksonville Lodge #50 and former employee of Vowell & Sons Inc. He is also survived by two sons: Joe Lloyd Jones and Clifton Edwards; four daughters: Daisy (Ernie) Young, Linda Ryan, Kathy Vincent and Clara (James) Hamilton; one brother: Sam Crutchfield; one sister: Opal Sue Berry; eleven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by three brothers: George Crutchfield, Mickey Crutchfield and Odis J. Hopson. Rawls Funeral Home – Union City 731-885-8110
