Joe Louis Puckett

Mr. Joe Louis Puckett, 79, of Puryear died Monday, December 19, 2016, at his residence. Services will be held at noon on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church. He was born on December 19, 1937, in Puryear to the late Freeman Puckett, Sr. and Muranda Diggs Puckett. He was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Laird Brick Company and later at Kentucky Clay Company retiring from there. On August 8, 1959, he married the former Eva Jay Milliken.He is survived by his wife, Eva Jay Puckett, his children, Thomas Puckett, Ronald Puckett, Dianna Puckett and Juliette Puckett all of Puryear; his siblings, Freeman (Mildred) Puckett, Jr., of Puryear, Cevell (Pearline) Puckett of Paris, Ruberta Reynolds of Puryear and Frances Willis of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son Joseph DeIoghn “JO JO” Puckett and his siblings, Algee “Auntie” Porter, Mildred Arnetta Milliken, Robert Puckett, Edward Puckett, Vernell Puckett and Lula Brown.
