Mr. Joe Louis Williams, 59, of Clinton, KY died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Services will be held Monday, March 19, at 2:00 P.M. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in South Fulton, TN with Rev. Marvin Mercer, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlea Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Rawls Funeral Home.
He was born January 28, 1953 in Cayce, KY. He attended public schools in Cayce and Hickman, KY. He also attended Kentucky State University. He worked as a supervisor for Sherwin Williams, Dura and InStill Wire for a number of years. Mr. Williams was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Trustee Ministry and the Men’s Sunday School Class.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Doris Williams of Clinton, KY; two brothers Jewel Thomas Johnson (Connie) of Elpaso, TX; and Frank Thomas, Jr. (Ruby Jean) of South Fulton, TN; a brother-in-law, Harold Crume (Gloria) of Detroit, MI; a sister-in-law, Vernell Johnson of South Fulton, TN; four grandchildren Tyler, Aaliyah, Anthony, Jr., Antwan, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, son, and two brothers.
