Mr. Johnny William Hutcherson, Jr., 70, of Paris died Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. He was born on June 28, 1952, in Paris, TN to Johnny W. Hutcherson Sr. and Geneva Hutcherson. Johnny had a very blessed life, and he has the hearts of many. He was a strong Man of God and confessed his love for Christ at an early age. He became a deacon and resided at Birds Creek Missionary Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. Johnny graduated from Henry County High. He obtained many certificates in different things. He worked at Celotex and ANR/TransCanada gas plant. He traveled the world for the military and retired as Lieutenant Colonel. He was a leader for us all. Johnny enjoyed watching sports, spending time with family and friends, fishing and most of all his great grandson. Those left to enjoy his memories are his wife of 50 years, Lawayn P. Hutcherson, two daughters, Cyhia P. Hutcherson and Kimberly A. Hutcherson both of Paris, TN, three grandchildren, Shanice (Williams) Bigham, Branden D. Williams, and Nolya N. Brooks, all of Paris, one great-grandson, Gabriel A. Bigham, mother, Geneva Hutcherson of Paris, TN, three sisters, Peggy A. Ray, Patricia J. Hutcherson and Leasha J. (Tony) Tyler all of Paris, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who he enjoyed having fellowship with.
