Johnny Lee Jones

Mr. Johnny "John Lee" Jones, 63, of Union City died Friday, February 28, 2014, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church with Rev. A.E. McCadney officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born December 4, 1950, in Medon, TN to the late Cornelius and Ola B. (Mosely) Jones. He was a former construction worker. He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Pitts, of Tupelo, MS; three grandchildren, Michael (Savannah) Armstrong, Devante Pitts and Ladarius Duncan all of Tupelo, MS; one great grandchild; four special children, Victor Macklin, Kelly Macklin, and Tenia Shields all of Union City, TN and Stephon Macklin of Columbus, KY; nine siblings: Ella Wright of Union City TN, James Jones of Memphis TN, Raymond Jones of Meadville PA, Rose Taylor of Fulton, KY, Francis Murphy of Union City TN, Inez Avery of South Fulton, TN, Glenda Payne of Plantersville MS, Almeda Kenton of Guntown MS, and Kelvin Jones of Buffalo NY; one aunt, Anna Pearl Loving of Union City, TN; one uncle Andrew Childs of Vancouver WA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
