Juanita Jones

Mrs. Juanita Jones, 72, of South Fulton died Wednesday, November 17, 2021. at Van Ayer Healthcare and Rehab.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel in South Fulton.

Ms. Juanita L. Jones, our Beloved, was born to Ms. Mattie Jones and Mr. L. Fisher in St. Louis, Missouri.

Juanita was affectionately known as “Nita” by her classmates and friends. She was a very professional woman.

She worked faithfully at MD Anderson Cancer Research Center for 25 years in Houston, TX. She loved arts and crafts and loved all African American paintings, pictures, and enjoyed sewing and making beautiful crafts.

Juanita loved to work in her garden planting flowers. She had the most beautiful array of all kinds of beautiful floral arrangements and bright plants and flowers.

Growing up in South Fulton, TN she graduated from South Fulton High School. She then went on to further her education in Nashville, TN. She was a member of McCabe Church in Martin, TN. Years later after moving to Houston, TX she was a faithful member of Windsor Village United Methodist Church.

Our beloved Juanita was very sweet, and her smile would light up the room. Everywhere she went she was always complimented on her beautiful eyes, loving, kind, and sweet. She will be missed and always loved.

She kept in touch with her friends in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas. Her legacy lives forever in our hearts.

Juanita is survived by her daughter Devona Smith of Union City, TN and her son Antonio Jones of Springfield, GA. A loving and devoted brother George Harris Jr. of South Fulton, TN. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother; Ms. Mattie Harris, father; Mr. L. Fisher and loving devoted stepfather; Mr. George Harris, Sr.
