Katherine James

Mrs. Katherine James, 88, of Union City died Saturday, October 31, 2015, at her residence. She was born on April 10, 1927, in Ridgely, Tennessee to the late Vergie and Louis Long. She was a member of Brown Chapel A. M E. Church. She was the wife of the late Earnest James, Sr. and to this union six sons were born, two preceding her in death, Trent James and Earnest James, Jr.She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Donald and Roger James of Union City, Tennessee, Frank (Claudie) James of Lexington, South Carolina and Robert (Tammy) James of Fayetteville, Georgia; one daughter, Margaret Ann White of Detroit, Michigan; fourteen grandchildren, Jazzlie, Hallie, Tracye, LaTrenna, De Treyvehienne, Cassandra, LaTrenna, Sharria, Tracy, Nikki, Robert Jr., Sharletha, Brandon and Trent Jr.; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Lucy (Lonnie) Byrd of Nashville, Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
