Lara Mounday

Mrs. Lara B. Mounday, 76, of Dyersburg died Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at The Waters of Union City.

Services will be held at noon on Friday, May 23, 2025, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Chapel.

Lara B Pritchard Mounday was born September 12, 1948, to Mr. Alton and Mrs. Annie Lawrence Pritchard.

She leaves to mourn her husband Carl Lee Mounday, her loving children one daughter Vanessa (Billy) Shores of Murfreesboro, TN; five sons Mark Pritchard of Jackson, TN, Dyrell Anthony (Tasha) Smith, Union City, TN, Stevie Smith of Hickman, KY and Lewis E. Smith & Victor Smith of Frankfort, KY and thirteen grandchildren. A stepmother Mrs. Juanita Pritchard and Four nieces Tammy (Marshall) Crumble-Weatherspoon of Hickman, KY, Sharon (Alphonso) Rogers, Sonia (Fredrick) Galloway of Lansing, MI and Yolanda Rena Pritchard of Murfreesboro, TN. Two nephews Patrick (Sherry) Brown of Mathews, N.C and Daren Pritchard of Minnesota. Two sisters Maria (Mushin) Abdullah of Kansas City, Mo and Alisha Pritchard of Cleveland, OH and four brothers James (Linda) Pritchard of Louisville, KY; Glen and Melvin Lee Pritchard of Louisville, KY and Joel (Michelle) Pritchard of Kansas City, Mo. She had a host of great nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Lara was a native of Fulton County, KY and later relocated to Kansas City, Mo. Lara recently moved to Dyersburg, Tenn. She professed her life to Christ at an early age joining Lake Chapel Church and later she joined St. John #2 in Tiptonville, TN under the leadership of Pastor Perry Woods. She was an avid gardener who loved gospel music and loved having fun. She also loved to cook for the family and enjoyed helping others.

She was preceded in death by both parents Mr.  & Mrs. Alton Pritchard, four brothers Aubrey Edwin Brown, Leon, Alton & Billy Joe Prichard; and two Sisters Annie Louis McElrath and Jeanette Baulkin.
