Larry Sanchez Tharpe

Mr. Larry Sanchez "San-Man" Tharpe, 35, of Paris died Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, in Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at Rawls Funeral Home.

Larry Sanchez Tharpe was born October 25, 1985 to Cathy Busby and Larry Dickey. San Man was “The Comedian”. A talented and gifted football player for Henry County High School. He loved and enjoyed fishing, cooking, entertaining his family and friends and breeding his dogs. Sanchez was an amazing son, loving brother, and boyfriend. An awesome father, adoring uncle and a GREAT friend to all. He never met a stranger.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his beautiful memories: a lovable fiancé’: Donete Smith, 2 sons: Lavon Tharpe and Christian Hayes, parents: Cathy Tharpe and Larry Dickey, grandmother: Darnell Dickey of West Memphis, AR. Siblings: Felecia Busby, Jason Dickey and Ariel Tharpe of Memphis, TN, Maurice Tharpe (Myieshia Helmer) and Justin Tharpe.

Aunties and Uncles: Bobby (Nadine) Busby of Tulsa, OK, Barbara (Raymond) Tharpe of Mansfield, TN, Geneva (Willie) Morris of Chicago, IL, Aunt Waynie Puckett, Paris, TN. Special Cousins: Curtis Dickey (Paris, TN), Benjamin (Melissa) Busby of Louisiana, Bobby Busby Jr., Tulsa, OK, La Kesha (Kevin) Smith Dallas, TX and a host of other loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alma Busby and Alvin Tharpe, Great Uncles Curtis and Amos Dickey, Great Aunt Willie Mae Page and cousin Billie Cowan.
