Mr. Larry Tate, 65, of Union City died Sunday, May 5, 2024, at his home.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Larry William Tate (Foxxy) born November 11, 1958, to the late Dennis and Dorothy Sue Tate in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Later, he moved to Tennessee where he attended Union City High School.

Larry was a loud and gentle person. He worked for Barker Brothers for 33 years and Mr. Charles Siglow until his health started failing. He always had a smile on his face.

He leaves to cherish his memories two nieces; Ruth Miller, Kimberly Miller, two great-nieces; Daneshia McElrath, Kimiyah Sneed, two great nephews; Marcell McElrath, Jamari Sneed, one uncle; Robert (Carolyn) Tate, a special aunt; Loretta Tate, and a very special nurse also his niece; Amanda Sanders.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Dorothy Hall, and brothers, Eddie Tate , Calvin Tate, and William James Perry.
