Ms. Laura Ann Adkisson, 52, of Trezevant died Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Church. On Sunday from noon until time of service at the church.
Laura Ann Adkisson was born to the late Louella Belinda Howard Adkisson and James Barham on August 3, 1970. Ann accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Trezevant, Tennessee. Ann was a faithful choir member and nursery worker and served on the usher board until her health started to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memory, six brothers: Pastor Richard (Linda) Adkisson, Chester (Debbie) Adkisson, Casey (Sheila) Adkisson, Pastor Dr. Coy (Evangelist Geraldine) Brown; Dewayne Barham and Terry Barham; six sisters: Frankie Jones, Geneva Melton, Marie (Michael) Dalton, Ernestine Barham, Ellen Fay Barham, and Janice Tidwell; one sister -in-law, Marilyn “Bonnie” Adkisson; two God brothers: Bishop C.E. (Sandra) Pipkin and Eric (Elaine) Harris; two God sisters Margaret (Leon) White and Brenda Williams; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; she also leaves some very close classmates: Karen Hansbro, Dolly Greer and Jackie Webster.
She was preceded in death by her parents Louella Adkisson and James Barham; five sisters: Linda Adkisson, Genetta Williams, Teresa May Barham, Marcie Adkisson and Donna Adkisson and three brothers Charles “PeeWee” Adkisson , Dale Adkisson and James Barham, Jr.
