Lena Mae Dodson

Mrs. Lena Mae Dodson, 80, of Union City died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at her residence. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Darryl Turner officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1: 30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. She was born August 14, 1932, to the late Madeline and Lee Gettie Burnett. She worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Slant and Slant and as a housekeeper for years. On June 26, 1966, she married the late Charles O. Dodson, Sr. who preceded her in death. To cherish her memories, she leaves three daughters, Whonda K. Dodson, Rhonda F. Dodson and Marla (Danny) Bumpus, all of Union City, Tennessee; three sons, James (Phyllis) Burnett of Columbus, Ohio, Charles Dodson, Jr. of Paducah, Kentucky and Kevin Dodson (Linda) of Dukedom, Tennessee; two sisters, Flora and Ella Burnett, both of Union City, Tennessee; three brothers, S. J. (Louise) Burnett, Willie (Mable) Burnett, both of Union City, Tennessee and Ossie (Mary) Burnett of Columbus, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Vonetta (Thomas) Turner of Union City, Tennessee; one brother-in-law, Ben Vaughn of South Fulton, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other friends and family.
