Linda Freeman

Linda Williams Freeman was born on June 11, 1947, in Murray, Kentucky, and passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, at Patriot Health and Rehabilitation. She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Linda was a devoted member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health would not allow her to attend. Her strong faith and commitment to her church family were integral parts of her life.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her daughter, Lori Castro, and her cherished grandchildren: Tiffany Walker, Lantz (Subin) Biles, Willis Peterson, and Jordan Peterson. Linda also adored her great-grandchildren—Taquarius Walker, Delilah Fields, Tidarrion Harper, Jamaris Peterson, Isaac Peterson, Isaiah Peterson, Meagan Biles, Morgan Biles, and Liyani Peterson and her great-great-grandchild, Cle'Aisra Peterson.

Linda is survived by her siblings: Dr. Phillip (Candy) Williams, Stephon (Jennifer) Reed, Bo (Earlene) Reed, and Nell (Tony) Lester. She also held dear her special sister/friend, Linda Bond, along with many special friends including Cheryl Lonon, Barbara Hines, Joy Rainey, Ann Foster, and Joyce Dillard.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cynthia Joyce (Jimmie) Walker, as well as her parents, Agustus Williams and Ruth Skinner Williams. She is also reunited with her siblings: Francis Williams, Ethel (Jerry) Thomas, and Norma Jean (Donnie) Thomas.

A visitation will be held on September 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, leading into a funeral service that will take place the same day at Mount Zion Baptist Church, located at 401 Irvine St, Paris, TN 38242. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Linda Freeman's legacy of love for her family and friends will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her life, filled with kindness and devoted service to others, will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered.
