Ms. Lora Ann Blakemore, 57, of Henry died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Lora Ann Blakemore was born July 25, 1961, in Paris, TN to the devoted parents KewPee Blakemore and Patsy Milam Blakemore. She was a member of the Class of 1979 at Henry County High School. Ann as she was fondly known to many fought a good fight and kept the faith. She encouraged others to trust in God even though she was very ill herself. Ann confessed a hope in Christ early in her life under the leadership of the late Rev. A.C. Cole. She became a member of Cole Chapel C.M.E. Church where she was a faithful and loyal member. She served as President of Women’s Missionary Council, a steward, a member of the choir, president of C.Y.F. and missionary council treasurer. A lover of reading she consistently read her bible and the newspaper on a daily basis. She was preceded in death by her father, KewPee Blakemore; a brother, Danny Blakemore; a nephew, aunts and uncles. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her mother, Patsy Blakemore of Henry, TN; two sisters, Demita Bennett of Bethlehem, GA and Linda Kaye (Robert) Edwards, Jr. of Southaven, MS; nieces and nephews, Ashley Blakemore (caregiver), Danny Blakemore, Jr., Breanna Blakemore, Antonio Bobbitt, Robert Edwards, III, Robyn Edwards and Roderick Edwards and a host of cousins and friends She loved football, baseball, black & white movies, wrestling, going out to eat, soap operas, but must of all she loved Jesus, her church family, her family and friends.
