Louis Brack

July 14, 1936 — March 5, 2026

Obion, TN

Louis Brack was born on July 14, 1936, in Obion, TN to the late Mildred N. Jackson and Louis Brack, Sr. He transitioned from this life on March 5, 2026.

Louis attended schools in Obion and Union City, graduating from the former Miles High School in Union City.

Louis accepted the Lord at an early age and was a lifelong member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Obion, TN, where he served as a Deacon prior to his death. Despite his age, loss of vision, and health; Louis’s faith and steadfastness in the Word never wavered. When he was unable to worship in person, he made certain to do so virtually. When he wasn’t quoting scripture, he could be found singing the words of an old hymn in his big, deep voice.

A general laborer and hard worker as long as his body allowed, Louis held many positions to include the railroad, truck driving, and finally retiring from Tyson Foods in Union City, TN.

In 2000, he married the former Betty Mayberry Lorhorn. In addition to a devoted husband, he was a devoted father to Angela Merridith (Calvin) and Leslie Brack (deceased). Though he and Betty married later in life, he was also a devoted “bonus” father to her children Samuel Lorhorn and Donna Lorhorn. Louis had several grandchildren: Gregory McBride, Deion McBride, Aliseah Merridith, Chelsea Williams, Roger Williams; bonus grandchildren, Samuel Lorhorn, Jr, Kandice Lorhorn, April Lorhorn Lusk, and Jared Lorhorn. Additionally, he was a great-grandfather to Deion McBride, Jr, Alise McBride, Kylan Thomas, Peyton Lusk, and Jaylen Lorhorn. Louis was also the eldest brother of Kimberly Spears (Greg) and Gerick Thompson (Shannon).

In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren, brother and sister; Louis leaves to mourn his passing many friends and family but also leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion, and a good and grateful heart.

The family has honored his wishes for cremation and there are no services schedule.
