Louise Barham

February 14, 1955 — November 24, 2025

Martin, TN

Louise Estelle Barham, affectionately known as “Little Sister” to her family and friends, peacefully passed away on November 24, 2025, at Diversicare Nursing Home. She was born in Union City, Tennessee, to the late Alma Louise Bass Barham and the late Robert Barham and was the cherished granddaughter of the late Luella Bass of Union City and the late Eleonora and Albert Atkins of Fulton, Kentucky.

Louise spent her early years in South Bend, Indiana, before returning to East Tennessee to live with her father and her stepmother, Mary. Eventually, she settled in Greenville, Tennessee, where she resided and worked diligently until her health began to decline. In 2019, she moved to Martin, Tennessee, where she lived until her passing.

Preceding Louise in death was her brother, Larry King. She is survived by four brothers: Lee Vern (Mamie) Turner of Nashville, TN; William “Bill” Barham of Indianapolis, IN; James Barham of Muncie, IN; Sonny Barham of California; and Brandon Barham of Memphis, TN. Additionally, she is survived by two sisters, Brittany Barham of Union City, TN, and Deborah (Dannie) Smith of Union City, TN. Louise is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, with a special place in her heart reserved for her nephew, Pastor Darryl Turner.

Louise will be profoundly missed for her vibrant laughter, her exuberant expressions of joy, and her memorable catchphrases that brought amusement to those around her. Her life was uniquely lived, and her presence will be warmly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
