Mrs. Maggie Joe Kennedy, 74, of Union City died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Union City Manor Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Rawls Funeral Home with Rev. James Jones officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Maggie Joe Kennedy was born February 14, 1939, in Bells, Tennessee to Elder Eddie and Geneva Kinnon Partee. She departed this life Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Union City Manor Nursing in Rehab Center in Union City, Tennessee.
She was married to the late Elmo Kennedy. She was a former member of Seven Star Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a member of Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the choir.
She was a retired employee of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She leaves to cherish her memories two nieces, Shirley Paschal and Debra Partee and a nephew, Jimmie Paschal, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister, Mary (James) Kelly of Union City, Tennessee; a host of great nieces and great nephews and cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elder Eddie and Geneva Kinnon Partee; her stepmother, Anna Jeanette Partee; a sister, Linda Green; a brother, Nathaniel Partee and a stepbrother, Jessie King.
