Mr. Manuel Frazier Easley, 78, of Union City died Monday, January 16, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at McCabe United Methodist Church in Martin, Tennessee with Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Wayne Fields, P.J. Edwards, James Hamilton Sr., Vercie Busby, Willis Edwards and Anson Couch. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Manuel Frazier Easley family. He was born October 27, 1933, in Lexington, son of the late Roberta (Pearson) and the Rev. Manuel Easley Jr. He was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, the former Bette Jane Davis; his son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Davis Sr. and Doris Davis of Memphis; his grandson Gregory Davis Jr. of Memphis; two brothers and his sister-in-law, Ben and Mildred Easley of Chattanooga and Coris Easley of Union City; and his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Richmond Bowers of Jackson.
