Ms. Marcie Renae Adkisson, 44, of Trezevant died Monday, April 4, 2016, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church Family Life Center. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Marcie Renae Adkisson was born to the late Louella Belinda Howard Adkisson and James Barham on January 9, 1972. Marcie accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Trezevant, Tennessee. Marcie loved to sing and was a faithful choir member. She was presently serving as President of the Usher Board, Assistant Director of Youth Department, President of Praise Team and Secretary-Treasurer of Women’s Ministry. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Wesley Tyler Lee; seven brothers, Pastor Richard (Linda) Adkisson, Chester Adkisson, Casey (Jacqueline) Adkisson, Pastor Dr. Coy (Evangelist Geraldine) Brown, James Barham, Jr., Dwayne Barham and Terry Barham; seven sisters, Frankie (Grady) Jones, Geneva Melton, Allison Marie (Michael) Dalton, Laura Ann Adkisson, Janice Tidwell, Ellen Fay Barham and Ernestine Barham and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She also leaves one sister-in-law, Marlyn “Bonnie” Adkisson, two god brothers, Bishop C. E. (Sandra) Pipkin and Eric Harris; two god sisters, Margaret (Leon) White and Brenda Williams; one uncle, John (Dorothy) Adkisson and a very close friend who visited her weekly, Karen Hansbro Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louella Adkisson and James Barham; four sisters, Linda Adkisson, Donna Adkisson, Genetta Williams and Teresa May Barham and two brothers, Charles“Pee Wee” Adkisson and Dale Adkisson.
