Margie Mae Tann

M rs. Margie Mae Tann, 75, of Paris died Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at her residence.

Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

She was born on April 13, 1943 and was lovingly raised by the late Frank and Bessie Browning.

Born and raised in Hickman, KY, she later moved to Paris TN in 2004, where she resided until her death. Margie was a graduate of Riverview High School. She later married the late Keystone Tann. They were the founders and owners of the Golden T Club in Hickman, KY, and Golden T II in Fulton KY.

She is preceded in death by two sisters Opal Jordan and Sadie Mae Frame, and two brothers Weldon and Elvis Hutch.

She married the late Sydney Spears and from that union they had four daughters; Margie so lovingly referred to them as her (GIRLS). Tammy Darlene Spears of Virginia Beach VA; Gwendolyn Denise Powell and her husband James of Trenton, TN; Stephanie Deming Allen and her husband Eric of Paris, TN, and Glenda Michelle Turnbull and her husband Renaldo (Ray) of Chesapeake, VA. She had four grandchildren that could do no wrong in her eyesight: Kayla Le’Cole Davis of Virginia Beach, VA, Antonio Devon Spears of Union City, TN, Justin Quinyon Spears of Mason Hall, TN and Reginald Andrew Harper of Memphis, TN.  In addition, she adored her eight great-grandchildren, La’Kiya Sydney, Deanna Michelle, Khloe Madison, Myla Lashae, Amelia Denise, Ja’Toree Shanell, Prycen Lee and Sania Deming. She also leaves two special nieces Electa and Calandra McKinney of Fulton, KY, and two aunts Cordia Mae Freeman and Jacqueline Tharpe of Paris, TN and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

She also leaves her devoted partner of ten years, James Allen of Paris, TN. He loved and cared for her until the end. She also cherished and loved him.
