Mr. Marion Lee Warren,67, formerly of Hickman died Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Norton Audubon Hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Mr. Marion Lee Warren was born August 6, 1949, to the late Lydge Anthony and Eva Mae Johns Warren in Hickman, Kentucky.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age, uniting with Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. In 2009, he moved to Louisville, Kentucky. Johnson Chapel remained in his thoughts, always remembering to call and visit whenever he was at home. He enjoyed sports, fishing, barbecuing and traveling. He never forgot a birthday or a phone number.
Marion was a 1968 graduate of Fulton County High School. He attended Texas A & I and Murray State before being drafted into the U. S. Army. He served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
He was married to Clementine Cobb in 1979.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Annette (Rev. Ronnie) Coneal of South Fulton, Tennessee, Michael (Alicia) Warren of Toledo, Ohio, Angela (Donald) Nettles of Hickman, Kentucky and Loukisha Warren of Louisville, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jerome Warren; his parents; one brother, Walter L. Warren; one sister, Lizzie Hendrix and special aunt, Lizzie O’Neal.
