Martha Alston Womack

Mrs. Martha Alston Womack, 64, of South Bend, IN formerly of Union City died Monday, August 31, 2015, in South Bend. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry King officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the funeral. Martha Alston Womack was the thirteenth of thirteen children born to the union of John Allen and Mae Ella Alston of Union City, Tennessee, on November 29, 1950. She attended Miles High School in Union City, TN. In the early 70s she relocated to South Bend IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, John in 1965, and Mae Ella in 2008; brothers, John Frank, Billy, Bobby, Joe and Robert; sisters, Sara Lee, Ella Louise, Mary Elizabeth, Doris Francine and Maybelline. Marty leaves to cherish her memory 6 sons, Kenny Alston of Indianapolis, IN, Jerry Alston of Ft. Worth, TX, Victor (Calonica) Womack of Atlanta, GA, Timothy Womack of Indianapolis IN, Torrest J. Rice of South Bend, IN, Fredrick E. Jetter of South Bend IN; 2 sisters, Mona (Jerry) Brann of Niles, MI, Kathryn (Edgar) Harmon of Union City, TN; granddaughters, Taytiona, Victoria, Tylah, Aniyah, Jeriyah; grandsons, Demarco, Jerry II, Victor T.J, Jaston, Shakur, Jaelyn, Victor E II, Kenny II, Timmy II; and 6 great-grandchildren, Za'Miyrah, Mi'veyah, Victor T.J II, Jayce, Cree and Isaiah; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.
