Mrs. Mary Cavitt, 73, of Fulton died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Van Ayer Healthcare.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary Lucille (Buntyn) Cavitt was born on January 31, 1948 in Hardeman County, Tennessee to the late Jessie Buntyn and Lealer Buntyn Morris.

Mary attended Grand Junction School and graduated from Bolivar Industrial High School in 1966. She was employed at HIS for over 20 years. Afterwards, she went to Tyson Foods and was there until her health failed her.

In 1987 she married JT Cavitt Sr. To this union one son was born, JT Cavitt, II.

She professed a hope in Christ at Hopewell MB Church at an early age and later joined Greater Antioch Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir.

She loved spending time with family at gatherings or simply playing sports.

She is proceeded in death by her parents and siblings; Lela Mae Buntyn, Lepolyer Buntyn, Essie Mae Hussey, Jessie Buntyn Jr. and John Lee Buntyn.

She leaves to mourn her passing her son; JT Cavitt II, of Fulton, KY, three sisters; Earnestine Avent of Pryorsburg, KY, Fannie Hussey of Grand Junction, TN, and Phyllis Johnson of Jackson, TN, two brothers; John Henry Buntyn of Hopkinsville, KY and Charles (Mary) Buntyn of Zenia, OH, sister-in-law, Beatrice Buntyn of Lagrange, KY a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will cherish her memory.
