Mary Jane Mcwherter

Mrs. Mary Jane McWherter, 84, of Martin died Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Weakley County Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in Parham Cemetery. Interment will follow in Parham Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home.

Born Friday, April 21, 1939, in Somerville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Henry Taylor and the late Savannah Brown Taylor. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her children, Margaret Panell, Marvin Holmes, Jo Ann (Clem) Carter, Fred Miles, Thomas Miles, Marilyn Holmes and James McWherter; a sister, Christina Crutchfield; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her children, Forrest Holmes and Joyce Ramos; grandchildren, Tameka Miles, James Burnett and Quincy Burnett; siblings, George Taylor, John Taylor and Tom Taylor.
