Mrs. Mary Lavern Alexander Wilkins, 96, of Paris died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. M.A. Richardson officiating.She was born on March 12, 1921, to the late Arthur and Gladys Phelps Alexander in Como, Tennessee.She was married to the late Rodger Wilkins. She was a homemaker that loved working in her flower garden. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her daughters, Gladys Long and Marilyn Alexander both of Paris, TN and Velma Reid of Detroit, MI; eleven grandchildren, Marcus Long, Derrick Long, Robert Long, Angela Kendall, Michael Long, Donna Long, Keith Long, Richard Wilkins, Trina Wilkins, Violet Hickey and Eyvette Prichett; three step grandchildren, Bobby Patton, Steve Patton and Anna Eckhart; thirty four great grandchildren; twenty-four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Lola Louise Banks of Paris, TN; a brother, Harold Alexander of New York, NY and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Alexander, Marvin Wilkins and Edward Ray Wilkins; and nineteen of her siblings.
