Maxine Porter

Mrs. Maxine Porter, 84, of Mansfield died Friday, October 6, 2017, at Henry County Healthcare Center.Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church. She was born in Mansfield on April 26, 1933, to the late Dallas and Collie Teague. She was married to the late Odell Porter, Sr. and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Porter Tharpe; and five siblings, Julia Tharpe, Johnny Ruth Dotson, Curtis Teague, Marshall Teague and Dedrick Teague. She is survived by her children, Odell (Judy) Porter, Jr. of Paris and Debra Porter of Clarksville; and five grandchildren, Carissa (James) Tindell, Kevin Porter, Derek Teague, Garrett Teague and Deja Teague.
