Mr. Maynard G. Cook, 83, of Martin formerly of Henry County died Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his home. Graveside services will be held at noon on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Barrs Chapel Cemetery in Como, TN. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Barrs Chapel Church. Maynard Gerome Cook was born September 14, 1940, to the late Algia Carnell Cook, Sr. and Eddie Viola Foster in Paris, TN. He was wedded in holy matrimony to Lula He was wedded in holy matrimony to Lula Pope Cook. Together, they raised six children. He was a member of Barrs Chapel Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry McCutcheon. He was a maintenance operator at Emerson Electric in Paris, TN. Also, left to cherish his memories, brothers; Ronny Leon Cook of San Antonio, TX, Algia Carnell Cook, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Marshall Anthony Cook of Paris, TN, sisters; Ida Thornton, Dorothy Cook both of Paris, TN, Kathlean Byars of Nashville, TN, and a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends. His parents; Algia Carnell Cook, Sr. and Eddie Viola Foster, brother; Wendell Curtis Cook, sisters; Barbara Cook and Joan Lewis preceded him in death.
