Mckinley Johnson

Mr. McKinley Johnson, 76, of Union City died Thursday, March 5, 2020, at his residence.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020, Exchange Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church.

He was born on December 26, 1943, to the late Estelle Mae Johnson and Ivory Smith in Winchester, AR. He graduated from O’Fallon Technical High School in St. Louis. He served in The United States Airforce and The Tennessee Army National Guard. He was member of Exchange Street Church of Christ and a retired employee of Goodyear.

He was married to the late Sherlene McCain Johnson.

He is survived by daughters, Lynn (Dennis) Johnson-McBee of Smyrna, TN and Chante Durham of St. Louis; sons Darric Johnson of Smyrna, TN, Yul Johnson and Ashley (Maggie) Johnson both of Union City; brothers, Eugene (Mae) Smith of Memphis, Richard (Kathy) Johnson, Tommie (Kira) Jordan, Michael (Kelly) Jordan and John Jordan all of St. Louis; sister, Gloria Thomas of Little Rock; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Eric Johnson and Aaron Johnson.
