Melvin David Morris

Mr. Melvin David Morris, 85, of Water Valley, KY died Thursday, December 8, 2016 at McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Pentecostal Tabernacle in Water Valley. Interment will follow in Greater St. Paul Cemetery in Wingo. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.  He was born in Weakley County, Tennessee on September 21, 1931 to the late Curtis and Sadie Caldwell Morris. He departed this life on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at McCracken Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah, Kentucky. He was a married to the late Pauline Love Morris. He served in the United States Army until his retirement. He is survived by his children, Denise Morris, Robert (Elaine) Lawson and Jeffery (Linda) Morris; seven grandchildren, Zontia Lawson, Latisua Lawson, Marcus Morris, Cieira Morris, Windi Pryor, Jacoa Pettigrew and John Banks; a host of great grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.
