Ms. Michelle Steward Caldwell, 51, of Union City died Monday, May 8, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Brown Chapel AME Church. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church.Michelle Steward Caldwell was born on June 14, 1965, to Queen Steward in Union City. She accepted Christ at an early age joining New Hope Freewill Baptist Church. She graduated from Union City High School in 1983. She had a great love and passion for softball, which she played until about ten years ago. Michelle was employed at the Tyson Foods Newbern Facility for eighteen years. Michelle leaves to cherish her wonderful memories her mother, Queen Steward; her siblings, Jackie Steward, Ashley (Robert) Robinson, Annette (Evangel) Trice, Denise Harris, Robin Phelps, Patrick (Barbara) Freeman, Marcus Freeman and Chris Johnson; two aunts, Bettye Steward and Katie Steward; two uncles, Paul Steward and Michael Steward; a special friend, Kevin Russell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
