Mr. Mitchell Lawrence McClain, 61, of Paris died Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at his residence. Services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2010, at East Wood Street Church of Christ with Edward Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. He was born September 18, 1949, in Paris, he was a son of the late Dolphus O. McClain Sr. and Annie K. McClain. McClain was a 1967 Grove High School graduate and a member of Sparks Street Church of Christ. He was a Vietnam War veteran, retired Tecumseh Products worker and served in the National Guard for 25 years. He leaves one child, Misti LaDawn McClain of Murray; nine brothers and sisters: Barbara Byars, Dolphus McClain Jr., Richard (Alethea) McClain, Beverly (Frank) VanDyke, Anita (Darnell) Wilson, Anthony (Patricia) McClain and Victor McClain, all of Paris, and Constance (Bethel) Fuller and Dana McClain, both of Houston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
