Mrs. Nancy Jean Locust White, 83, of Paris died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Henry County Healthcare. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Progressive Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Adkisson officiating. Interment will follow Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at the Church. She was born on April 20, 1933 in Humboldt, Tennessee to the late Carl Lester Locust and Treva Martin.
She was a faithful member of Progressive Baptist Church. She also worked as a CNA.She is survived her sons, Jerry (Willie Ruth) Pearson of Paris, TN, Carl (Sandra) Pearson Radcliff, KY and Jamario (Alexis) White of Paris, TN; a daughter, Sarah White of Paris, TN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great grandchild; a stepmother, Virginia Locust; four brothers, Ronnie Locust, Tyrone Locust, George Locust, Geerce “Bubba” Spencer; two sisters, Darlene Smith and Sheryl Anderson all of St. Louis, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Freeman White; a son George “Bo” White and two brothers Herman Hamilton and Charlie Spencer.
