Mrs. Nellie B. Pope, 68, of Union City died Sunday, January 26, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at House Of Grace in Fulton, KY.
Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church.
Nellie B (Dean) Davidson was born on January 21, 1958, in Covington, Tennessee. Nellie was a devoted, hardworking, and family-oriented woman whose greatest pride and joy was her family. She worked tirelessly to make sure her loved ones never went without and that the family always remained close.
Nellie had a deep love for cooking and family gatherings, where her warmth and laughter filled the room. She had a naturally funny personality and an effortless way of keeping everyone laughing, often without even trying. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and unity to those around her.
She is survived by her loving family, including her husband, Glynn Davidson of Hickman, KY, and her sisters: Patricia Dean and Betty Anderson of Union City, TN; Sherrill (James) Dean, Linda Smith, and Sandra Somerville of Covington, TN; and by a brother, Ronnie Smith. She is also survived by a special friend, Kathleen Hanekamp.
Beloved Daughters: Elizabeth Everton of Union City, TN, and Marandal Everton Houston of South Fulton, TN. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Raven Taylor, Christina Hockett, and Tyrelle Jones of Union City, TN; Nedric Jones and Marcus Bonds Jr. of South Fulton, TN; Damarius Dinwiddie, Marquisha Bonds, and Zykeya Ferguson of Union City, TN. She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Iola Dean, and her father, Bud Harris; her sisters, Gloria Dean and Barbara Smith of Covington, TN; and her brothers, James Dean, Bobbie Smith, and Jerry Smith of Covington, TN; Hubert Dean of Tiptonville, TN; Larry Dean of Union City, TN; and Albert Dean of Chicago, Illinois; and her son-in-law, Prentiss Houston of South Fulton, TN.
