Norma Hawkins

Ms. Norma Hawkins, 65, of Paris died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at her residence. Services will be at noon Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Puryear. The Rev. Thomas Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in south Henry County. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday the funeral home. Hawkins, 67, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at her residence. She was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Chicago, she was a daughter of Wallace and Annie Hawkins, both deceased. She retired in 2008 after working as a CNA at several nursing facilities in Henry County. She leaves one son: Clarence “Knot” Harris Jr. of Dickson; one daughter: Crystal Jean Hawkins, who is serving in the U.S. Navy in South America; one sister: Evelyn (Walter) Thompson of Chicago; two sisters-in-law: Brenda Kendall of Paris and Cynthia (Jerry) Pickens of Joliet, Ill.; two brothers-in-law: Clayborn Harris Jr. and Clyde (Irenea) Harris, both of Chicago; one aunt: Katie Spencer of Chicago; a special friend of 36 years: Clarence Harris Sr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
