Ola B. Brown

February 18, 1925 — December 14, 2013

Mrs. Ola B. Brown, 88, of Union City died Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Union City Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Brooks Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. A.E. McCadney officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rawls Funeral Home. She was born to the late Harry and Ella V. Mosley, February 18, 1925, in Medon, TN. Mrs. Brown was a faithful member of Everfaithful under the leadership of Reverend L.C. Horton. After Reverend Horton’s retirement she remained active as a church mother under the leadership of Reverend Harry Hayes, Pastor of Jesus For All Ministries in Union City TN. Her husband Cornelius Jones, two sons Milton and Howard Jones precede Mrs. Brown in death. She is survived by ten children: Ella Wright of Union City TN, James Jones of Memphis TN, Raymond Jones of Meadville PA, Rose Taylor of Fulton, KY, Francis Murphy of Union City TN, Johnny Lee Jones of Union City TN, Inez Avery of South Fulton, TN, Glenda Payne of Plantersville MS, Almeda Kenton of Guntown MS, and Kelvin Jones of Buffalo NY; one sister Anna Pearl Loving of Union City, TN; one step-brother Andrew Childs of Vancouver WA; Thirty-two grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive her.
