Ora Clark Olive

March 29, 1913 — April 12, 2013

Mrs. Ora Clark Olive, 100, of Paris died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Progressive Baptist Church with Rev. Elizabeth Shell officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and also on Tuesday from noon until time of service at the church. Ora Clark Olive was born on March 29, 1913, in Henry County, Tennessee to the last Holt and Joanna Clark. Ora professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church where she served diligently, until her health failed, on the stewardess board, usher board and as a member of the senior choir. Ora was united in marriage to the late John Bell Olive on October 27, 1936. They were blessed with one daughter, Mary Ann Olive Hartzfeldt. Ora was educated in the Henry County school system. She worked in private homes and at the Holley Carburetor plant until she retired. In addition to work outside of the home, she care for her aging mother and younger siblings. Ora was a faithful and humble servant who loved working behind the scene doing whatever she could for others. Ora's love for the Lord was evident in all that she did. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and all seven of her siblings. Her sweet spirit will live on in the loved ones that she leaves behind, including: her daughter, Mary Ann Hartzfeldt; grandchildren, Gale (Samuel)Tharpe, Vernesser (Paul) Payne and W.H. (Tonya)Hartzfeldt, III all of Paris; great grandchildren, Jonathan Taylor, Taqunnee Hartzfeldt, Kevon Hartzfeldt, Javon Hartzfeldt, Jerry Clark and Wendell Sturdivant; great great grandchildren, Leilani Taylor, Kanye Taylor, Kyra Taylor, Dre`von Hartzfeldt, Ta'Kera Hartzfeldt and Timothy Hightower; special cousins, Debra(Mark) Robins of Bloomfield Hills MI, Bernice and Charles Hayes of Chicago, IL, Earline Paschall and William Paschall of Wingo, KY, Cora Paschall of San Francisco, CA, Marshall Tharpe of Sharon TN and a host of cousins and friends.
