Mrs. Pearl Westmoreland, 88, of Rives died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare – Dyersburg Regional Hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.She was born on April 23, 1929, in Rives to the late Charles and Albirdie (Sanders) Bass. She was married to the late James Roland Westmoreland for over 60 Years. She was a member of Bashon Baptist Church serving as a choir member. A former employee of Brown Shoe Company and McAdoo. She was a well known cook, seamstress and also the owner of a arts and craft and antique shop in Rives. She is survived by two sons, Vaughn Westmoreland of Union City and Venory Westmoreland of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Lena Debow of Stockton, CA; a daughter in law, Ruth Westmoreland of Union City; a sister in law, Annie Pearl Bass of Union City and a host of other relatives.She was also preceded in death by a son, John Westmoreland, two daughters, Jittaun Savage and Ina Brown; four brothers, Herbert Bass, John Bass, Eddie Bass and Ben Bass and a sister, Albertha Hall who also passed away earlier on January 18, 2018.
