Peggy Jean Teague

Mrs. Peggy Jean Teague, 75, of Springville died Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born on September 9, 1945, in Paris to the late Jerry Thomas Howard and Laurine Byars Thornton. She was married to Thomas Ray Teague on February 25, 1961.

She was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Ray Teague of Springville; two daughters, Sharon Gordon (special friend Charlie) and Teresa (Monroe) Shaw of Springville; three sons, Thomas Ray (Sharon Diggs) Teague, Jr., David (Pam) Teague and Timothy Teague (special friend Sandra); twelve grandhildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. four brothers and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, a brother, a granddaughter that she raised, Carissa Porter and two great grandchildren.
