Rene Robinson

Mrs. Gwendolyn Rene Robinson, 63, of Union City died Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Greater Bethel Church of God In Christ. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

Gwendolyn Rene Ward Robinson was born on September 27, 1956, in Union City, Tennessee to the late Helen Ward Perry and Lee William Ward.

Rene graduated from Union City High School, a former employee of Tyson Foods and a lifelong member of Greater Bethel Church of God In Christ.

She was married to Robert Robinson, Sr. and to this union two children were born.

Rene is survived by her husband, Robert Robinson, Sr; children, Shaneil (Terry Mayes) Robinson and Robert (Ashley) Robinson, Jr.; grandchildren, Tre Robinson, Skyler Mayes, Kylie Mayes, Bri-Angela Robinson, Kaden Robinson and Brylee Robinson; brothers, Jeffery (Elaine) Ward, Ronald (Rene) Ward, Gregory Ward, Jerry (Patty) Ward and Ricky Ward; aunts, Mary Warford, Inez Mayberry, Linda Maberry and Julia Johnson; uncles, Elder Richard (Florence) Johnson and John Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in laws.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Willie Perry.
