Mr. Rickey Lewis Hilliard, 65, of Paris died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Henry County Medical Center.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Rickey Lewis Hilliard, “Cool Breeze” A.K.A. “Slick Rick,” was born August 30, 1958, in Dyersburg, Tennessee to his late parents, Henry L. Hilliard and Yvonne Macie Hudson Hilliard.
Rickey was educated in the Dyersburg school system. He was employed at Yanders Enterprise, Dyersburg Parkview Hospital, and the Dyersburg Country Club.
Rickey enjoyed drawing, reading the Bible, fishing, watching basketball with his nephew, playing his chess game and spending time with his family, daughter Shunna, and the love of his life, Daine Ray, who has been by his side since day one.
Preceding him in death is his parents, Henry L. and Yvonne Hilliard, grandparents; Lawrence and Rebecka Hudson and uncles; Joe McLin and Tamp Willell.
Left to cherish his memories is his daughter, Shunna D. Hilliard-Wilson, one granddaughter; Keyena N. Johnson, one great-granddaughter; Eri’Yona Brooks, two brothers, Michael Parker and Timothy Hilliard, four sisters; Sherry (Rufus) Hudson, Tonya (WH) Hartzfeldt, Vickey (Tony) Hilliard, Marqunita Hilliard Bomar, four nephews; Kenney, Wendell, Jerry Jr., and Javon, three nieces; Tarsheta, Tiana, and Lashantia,
two aunts; Willie Mae McLin and Ollie B. McLin, special friends; Clarisse Jones and Ron Hyte and his special bonus kids; Iesha (Chris) Cunningham and Adrain Ray, one bonus grandson; Tyryn Ray and a host of other relatives and friends
