She was the loving daughter of Master Teague, Sr., and Virner Mae Tharpe Teague . She was the third of six children.
She attended Henry County Training School and Central High School, Paris, Tennessee.
She professed her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Paris, Tennessee. She was an active member until her health failed many years ago.
She was married to Johnny Edwards in 1970. To this union, no kids were born. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Rilla Ann “Bobbie’ was a responsible and dedicated worker to Dr. Terry Harrison at Nobles Clinic, also known as (Rhea Clinic) and Paris Henry County Clinic, as a nursing assistance for over thirty years. She loved Dr. Harrison, her work, co-workers and patients. When speaking of them, there was always laughter, smiles, friendship and positive statements. Rilla Ann “Bobbie” was a dedicated and responsible worker, who gave over 100% to her job. She thought of the staff as her secondary family.
She was a very funny, funny person who loved her sunglasses, the color “red” and fashionable clothing. She was the life of the party; the bright spot of the room. She had the biggest laugh in the room and made you feel comfortable to let your guard down. She cared for people and you usually left with a big smile after encountering her presence.
She definitely loved her family. When you saw one sister; you would see all of them together. She was the biggest laugh of the family. Her brother couldn’t travel with them due to work.
Her sweet free-spirit will never die in us for we loved her so very, very much. She leaves to mourn three sisters: Mildred Porter, Lena Craven and Luverta Fitzgerald and one brother, Master Teague, Jr. (Dean), all of Paris, Tennessee; three nieces: Patricia Gardner (Dondi), Melissa Allen (Derrick) and Keaby Scott (Jeffery Travis); four nephews: Jeffery Porter, Rodney Teague (Angela), Dereke Fitzgerald (Rosalind) and Dr. Corey Teague (Emily); and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Master Teague, Sr., her husband Johnny Edwards, and oldest sister Eva Dean Teague.
You, my dearest love, will be greatly missed and never forgotten for you were our “ray of sunshine”. We love you!
