R.L. Hutcherson

Mr. R.L. Hutcherson, 89, of Paris died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at his residence.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

He was born August 6, 1929, in Whitlock. He was the son of the late Frank and Stella Hutcherson.

He was married November 18, 1956, to Robbie L. Milliken Hutcherson of Paris, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by 11 children: Peggy Wilson, Hoza (Bernita) Hutcherson, Kenneth Hutcherson, Tony (Debbie) Hutcherson, William Hutcherson, Stella Hutcherson, Thomas Tharpe, Hattie Kendall and William (Marilyn) Tharpe, all of Paris, O.L. (Joyce) Hutcherson of Shreveport, La., and Johnny Hutcherson of San Antonio; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Hutcherson of Paris; 49 grandchildren; 112 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Jackie Tharpe and Tarza Hutcherson; two sisters, Carrie Mae and Lula Mae Hutcherson; and two brothers, R.H. and Hallow Hutcherson.

He was a member and trustee of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
