Mr. Robert Lee Boyd, 89, of Paris died Friday, August 17, 2012, at Henry County Medical Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Rawls Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday.He was born April 26, 1923, he was the son of the late James Boyd and Lovie Kendall.His wife, Fannie Lee Haynes Boyd, died on May 24, 2005. They were married on March 9, 1953.He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.He leaves seven children: Dennis and Robert Boyd and Mary (Kareem) Abdullah, all of Paris, Barbara Robertson and David Boyd, both of Dallas, Clifton Boyd of Memphis and Lela (Dieter) Cross of Clarksville; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia Boyd; a son: Jerry Wardlow; and a granddaughter: LaShunda Michelle Boyd.
